Publication on UN Health Commitments

On July 18, 2023, the Language Compendium team published an article on PLOS Blogs titled “UN Member States Must Adopt Bold Commitments on Health,” emphasizing the importance of ensuring strong commitments including community-led health initiatives, equitable access to publicly funded research, and delinking research and development incentives from sales volume. Leveraging the Language Compendium, we highlighted how negotiators could embed strong language for bold health commitments from UN Member States and advocated for policies that protect vulnerable populations and ensure equity in health access.
